Blu-ray – How do you find the sound quality ?

Filed under: Home Theater — JC @ 6:10 pm

Hi,

Are you satisifed from the sound information and quality which you are getting from the new and recent  movies on Blu-ray . . . Dolby TrueHD – DTS masterHD ?

Frankly, I think that the studios and their sound engineer have quite a long way to travel before they fill my hope and explore the possibilities of high end surround sound system.

    1. sound quality was good

      I think I agree

    3. A lot of today’s stuff is mixed in the studio with the louder is better concept. Compressing dynamic range compression to get the overall sound hotter is ruining a lot of recordings.

    4. I feel that the audio clarity is brilliant. Especially when side by side compared to a regular Dolby Digital or DTS recording. Granted the introduction of such technologies as Dolby Prologic Z and Dolby Volume aren’t helping a purists ear, but they are enhancing the experience that the end user has when watching a movie. At the end of the day, if you want pure quality, 2 channel is the only true way to go. If its an experience you’re looking for, Dolby HD and DTS Master deliver.
