If you are looking for a cheap way to get into a front projector (al beit an older model), you can pick up a brand new, still with 3 year warantee, Sanyo PLV-Z1 (not Z2, not Z3, not the new Z4) for $499. I love my Z2, and SirQuack loves his Z2. I would put this at probably a 2002 original release based off of when the lastest projectors in this line came out. So, you bet, this isn't the cream of the crop, or top of the line anything, but it does do widescreen HDTV which most manufacturers can't touch for under $1000, let alone $499 for a BRAND NEW projector.
Anyway, do what you wish with this info. Buy one, don't buy one, I don't care. Just saw this deal this morning and thought that I would share.
