LOL! Do you think that none of us have ever done something like that? I've been working with audio equipment, plugging/unplugging/replugging, for more than 30 years. I just had to reconnect everything to my processor. When I started to calibrate I discovered I had the mains and surrounds crossed.
When something like this happens, the first question I ask is "well, where did you screw up this time, genius." When faced with a problem, I automatically assume pilot error. 95% of the time,
I'm right.
The good side of this is that it is considerably easier on the heart. Though there may be a problem, by assuming it's my fault, and is thus correctable, I prevent the panic and angst which accompanies assuming there is a serious problem with a piece of equipment.
