Today I finally had a chance to bring our Odyssey to a local car audio shop in order to have the Infinity drivers and the Sony amp professionally installed. This time I did not replace the factory speakers on the rear channels.
I am very satisfied with the HUGE sonic improvement! Comparing the sound from the front Infinities and the rear factory drivers using the fader control, I couldn't believe that I "tolerated" the horrible sound quality of the factory speakers for so long. Now it sounds good enough for me to actually enjoy listening to my favorite CDs during long drives.
However, the technician apparently screwed up and inadvertedisabled the on-wheel control switches for the factory head unit. I guess I have to visit the shop again soon...
Other than that, he did a very nice, clean job.
