We had a pretty good one.
My wife and I took our new car on it's first weekend getaway. We drove up to Chicago for the weekend. The car worked surprisingly well for having about zero trunk space.
Our primary reason was to go to
Ravinia and see Dave Brubeck & Ramsey Lewis in concert. Did the whole picnic on the lawn thing. Had a great time. Really fun to see a couple of living legends (in the Jazz world) in concert. The sound was excellent but it reminded me just how good my Axioms are at home. Seriously, there were times when I thought that it sounded better at home via Axioms & SACD's than it did live.
Then on Sunday we did some shopping and eating but mainly just tooled around the Loop. Greatly enjoying being in civilization for a few hours before heading back to the cornfields.
It was a lovely day in the Windy City. Especially from a little two-seat convertible.
