I don't know how it works, but I do know Solutions A/V and Only Best Rated are selling the Oppo for the pre-order price of $579+ taxes (free shipping with Solutions A/V). Converted into Canadian dollars I paid $726, so $100 more than I would have paid if I only had the patience to wait till the end of the month and that's not even definitive.
