Hi, I have a Yamaha 2400 with Axiom M22 speakers/VTF-2 sub. At what DB on the volume control should I expect the sound to get "loud". Right now I need to turn the volume up to at least 15-10dB before it sounds "loud". I've had it above 0dB and it didn't seem unbearably loud. On some CDs, I can barely hear the receiver if I turn it down below 35dB (specifically the new Dark Side of the Moon SACD in 2 channel mode). I read the manual thoroughly and can't find anything that I'm missing.

I had a Yamaha RXV-2092 and Klipsch floorstanders before the 2400/axioms and the 2092 definitely sounded louder. I don't routinely play my music that loud but this seems a little odd?

As far as sound goes, the 2400/M22 combo is incredibly clear and accurate. The 2400 is a definite improvement over the 2092 in fidelity and has a more subdued sound than the older Yammie.

thanks for the responses.
