Jacques, an "Imprimatur" post wasn't noticed at first, since over the past year I'd also completely forgotten about it and my astonishment at your list. Looking at your additions I see many fine choices, but it's also very clear that your Rs(Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Respighi, Rimsky-Korsakov)are in immediate need of beefing-up with at least a half dozen items.
As to the Mahler 2nd, I definitely like it and made the thrilling
Mehta performance with the Vienna Philharmonic one of my "Stunning Recordings" selections. Maybe even an enthusiastic amateur like Kaplan isn't quite up to fully realizing this massive work.
