Prom Concert 33 opened with the Prelude to Wagner's Tristan und Isolde, which was followed by a newly-composed setting of the Credo, with just a few moments of dissonance which didn't detract from the musical enjoyment.

Following the internission feature, which was also on religion in music, Bruckner's 6th Symphony, another of his massive musical cathedrals, was given an excellent performance. Available for six more days at the BBC iPlayer site .
