Just took another quick look at the manual. I wonder if somehow we're not "on the same page"(literally)since there doesn't appear to be a mention of an "extended stereo" mode. Unfortunately, since I don't have a 5007 or similar Denon/Marantz unit and am simply relying on a reading(misreading?)of the manual, I can't experiment to come up with the modes listed there. If someone with a similar unit would point out the specific procedure they follow it'd be helpful.
As it stands, it appears to state at pp.71 et seq that if multichannel signals are being input, repeated pushes of Movie change the modes.
