I just noticed that my dvd player (sony 999es) was not set on progressive. When I set it to progressive on the dvd OSD and the progressive setting on the back of the dvd unit itself the screen turned to about 12"x12" and a green tinted screen. I'm using component cables run through my receiver (hk avr7300)to my elite plasma. I don't think its the receiver because I believe I had a similar issue when I had an elite receiver hooked up to the same tv and dvd player. I have no idea what's causing this. Any ideas?

First thing I would do if it was me is run the DVD player direct to the TV and make sure all connections are correct. If you still have problems, make sure the DVD player is set-up correctly in the menu. If that looks fine, check that the settings are correct on the TV.
