This kind of picks up where "sure cure for the blues left off. Some of you who followed that thread asked me to post some pictures. I set up a kind of cheezy web page so I could put up some pictures. I will try to do this right. So have some patience. Here goes.

Uh... this is not working to get the image in the message I will have to just link to it.

Nice feet, Oz.

Don't play that humble thing with me. I'll have to try and figure out what I did wrong. But I'm too tired now. It took me 3 hours to figure out how to set up a web page to host the pictures. I'm going to bed. Thanks again Jack. I'm going to call you the mayor of Axiomland.

Oh Lord. Don't start calling me the mayor of Axiomland. There are too many who would vote for a recall.

From the Axiom FAQ:

[url ]link[ /url] = Makes the given url into a link.
[url=link] title [/url] = Makes the given title into a hyperlink pointing to link.

Omit any spaces you see in the above examples. They are there only so the example won't turn into a link, thereby rendering the example useless. (what did he say? )

Where it says "link" in the examples, you put the http://www.yadayadayada.com address of the page to which you want to send us.

Remember leave no spaces between any letters, characters, or brackets.

There is one exception to the that rule. In the second example, where it says "title," I typed the phrase I wanted to appear (Will This Work) rather than have the http://www.yadayadayada.com address appear. You can (and should) leave spaces between your words in that spot.

If you want a photo to appear in your post use:

[image]link[/image]

In this case, the link is the http://www.yadayadayada.com.jpg (or.gif, etc.) address of your photo itself.

Man! That is a NICE LOOKING ROOM.

Doing this is a little tricky. I'm going to post how to do it in a following post, in case you would like to print it (recommended). Should you wish to print it, at the bottom left of the the post itself you'll see "Post Extras" with 4 icons next to it. The first icon is the print icon which will open the post in it's own window for printing.

Though a few of these instructions are specific to your photos (Oz) this will work with ANY photo or image, ANYWHERE on the web. You can tell if you've got an image by the file type. If it is a .jpg or .gif, or any other image file, you can link to it as long as linking to that photo or image is not prohibited by the web site where it is posted. (I hope I've got that right).

HOW TO INCLUDE A PHOTO IN YOUR POST

1. Go to your photo gallery, or wherever the photo is located on the web. (Opening a new window to do this is a good idea. If you're using IE, on the toolbar at the top of the page, CLICK "File," then "New," then "Window."

2. CLICK on the photo you want to use.

3. On the larger version of the photo which appears, RIGHT CLICK on the photo itself.

4. On the menu that pops up, CLICK on "Properties."

5. In the small "Properties" window that pops up, HIGHLIGHT the "Address/URL" of the photo itself, which in this case is http://home.comcast.net/~dpatrey/wsb/media/1190593/site1003.jpg3.

6. RIGHT CLICK on the highlighted text.

7. On the menu that pops up, CLICK on "Copy" putting the photo's address on your clipboard.

8.Return to Axiom web page where you are creating your post, RIGHT CLICK in the post box, and CLICK on "Paste," putting the photo's address into the post box.

9.Then, type the [image] [/image] tags on either end of the address, being sure to leave no spaces.

VIOLA. Simple isn't it? Seriously, I KNOW how confusing this can be. if you have ANY questions, just ask away. Believe me, it is just as difficult to explain as it is to learn, and it took me forever to learn it. But, once learned, it becomes intuitive. Ask Craigsub!

Thanks Jack... you always seem to come through. I know it just takes some time. I didn't want to ask because I figured I'd get it if I put my mind to it and I know it is often more difficult to explain than it is just to hunt and click around. Your explanation was very clear by the way. So I guess next time I post when all the rooms are done and finalized I will have no excuse. Of course by the time that happens I'll have to dig up this thread and read your instructions again because I'll have forgotten. I think I'll make a link to this now while I'm thinking of it. Thanks again, Jack UDAMAN

Thanks Craig, if you ever make it to Atlanta you'll have to look me up.
The room behind the french door is currently the home office. That is where the HT and the entertainment center will go. Due to the very open floor plan of the first floor it is the only area that can be closed of from the rest of the house. The front room (formal living room that never gets used except when I listen to music) that showed the speakers to the left of the rattling armoire is where the home office will move to when the office furniture arrives. That will leave the big room with the fire place all to me and my stereo set up. Should be sweet.

Oz - That will be sweet. There is nothing like a man's own private sanctuary.

Thanks for the invite - If I am ever in Atlanta, you will get ample warning so you can either leave town or stock up the bar ...
