Has any one heard what kind of equipment Axiom will be releasing? I am hoping for a big honking power amplifier, that continues the Axiom bang for the buck philosophy. I would be willing to try a new product from Axiom, I don't think they would put out anything that was not adequately tested or does not meet their quality standards which seem to be pretty high. I almost bought a couple of different used 2 channel amplifiers, but I am kind of waiting to see what they come out with before I do anything brash. Its hard to find powerful amplifiers at a reasonable price new. Seems like they all are at least 1K. It would be nice to know what they are coming out with, even if specs are not available yet. If anyone has heard anything please let me know.

I'm guessing we won't know until the picnic... they sometimes talk to Chesseroo early about new products but he keeps secrets too well for my liking

Maybe that is why they tell him the secrets and not us. Oh well, I really need to be saving some money for awhile longer anyway.

Keep your eyes out for updates in the newsletter (from what I've been told). It will be our best source of updates and it sounds like they will keep us in the loop. Rumors are that we'll have an excellent line of electronics to choose from, so save your money!!!!! I know I'm saving my cash for a new 2 channel amp to power my new Mi80's!!!!

Ronno, note Gene DellaSala's Axiom tour article in which he discusses among other things a "big honking(digital)power amplifier" that's coming up.

I have a feeling it is safe to assume that he wasn't the only one that was a little drunk last night.

Actually I feel pretty good today considering...We were drinking Baileys, Absolute, and Kalua in equal parts... Dont know if it has a name, but it can make you forget yours! I do remember the post had something to do with bombs and mud huts, or something like that. The posts were not the only time I made an ass of myself last night, the memories make me cringe.

Wow, not only does Axiom make great speakers, they also make sure we don't embarass ourselves when we drink too much. Definitely a company on our side.

(Okay, Amie, just give us a hint what the deleted post said)

On second thought, some things are best left unsaid.

John: that was a very interesting article.

Since I am still in the market for a new receiver or separates, I think that I will wait and see what Axiom has. I'm still considering a "lower" priced receiver as a pre processor and getting a separate amp of some sort. Maybe 2 or 3 channels.

We wanted something a little different than the usual Rum or Jack or Brandy that we usually drink. It tasted pretty good. Anything with Baileys in it tastes good though.

You got that right. A couple years ago, after a 5 martini night, I think I ordered a bride from Romania.

Good thing they follow up with an "are you sure???" e-mail ... That could have caused a ruckus around here....

Ron, possibly it was those f-bombs that got Amie a bit upset.

I'm in the same boat as you...just bought a new Rotel receiver, but will settle for adding a big ol' 2 channel amp to feed mi80's!

Should be an inexpensive product since Axiom has downplayed the importance of amplification repeatedly (often that it that it should not distort as the primary concern).

Also, if it is indeed two channel or a two channel option will exist, my faith will be restored that Axiom is not simply selling home theater and more speakers.

I'm not sure about the price...I don't know that it'll be inexpensive but as compared to other products in it's class, my guess is that it'll offer the Axiom "bang for the buck" as their speakers do. And yes, I think we're in for some two channel options as well. I can't wait! I just wish I knew how long I have to wait!

we call those drinks “duckfarts” in Alaska. quite tasty indeed. I’ve moved on to cherry bombs, a shot of cherry vodka in a glass filled with redbull. A stimulant and depressant in one glass.

but I have to ask, why weren’t you drinking slammers while in Mexico? now those are good!! 2 parts tequila, one part triple sect and one part 7-up in a 12 oz glass served with two shot glasses. the server keeps the shot glasses going until the 12 oz glass is gone. now those will make you forget......

I've been busy. The construcion season is in full swing. I'm still around from time to time though. Too cool a group of folks around here to just walk away from.
