Ill be using the 22’s as monitors, for video editing/computer speakers. The computer is currently also my TV, so the speakers will be used a decent amount. Just need an amp, not a receiver.. price range, sub 400$?...

I know you said not a receiver but I would suggest the HK 3480.If you would like you could always just use the amp section.

the reason i nixed the reciever ide, was if i was to buy a new reciever, i would buy a new pre/reciever for my HT and move my current reciever to the computer set up.. i would rather guy a "killer" reciever for the HT than buy an inexpensive one for the audio.

thanks for the links wid, i did about 8 hours of research yesterday, and came up with very little on 2 channel amps, that have less than 200W.... the one place that i found an abundance of 2 channel semi low power amps was DJ amps. So at the moment I think I am going to go with one of them. I was looking at http://www.music123.com/Gemini-P07-i137876.music One reason I can find it other places online for right at 100$ and it has the 2 meters, so while video editing I can see if both channels are actually level or not.. but again, thanks for the tips, I didn’t see that 50W by audio source….

One more thing, how do you make the text a link, what’s the syntax?

Where, of course, link is the url and name is the text you want to have appear, eg.

name

I had to replace "link" with "http://link" myself or the board SW wouldn't recognize it as a URL. Whatever URL you type is what appears...

From the FAQ page

title = Makes the given title into a hyperlink pointing to link.

Here's a couple...

Rotel RB-980BX $290
Rotel RB-980BX $325 obo

Thanks. I'm still busy as heck, and about to start HP4, so don't get used to seeing much of me.

Hi dakkon
If you are dollar conscious, I recommend you find a nice T-Amp for about $20-30. 10 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Sound quality is excellent. Believe me when I tell you that under normal conditions your M22s are being driven by less than 1/2 watt whatever amp you're using. You can either go through AA batteries or pick up a regulated power supply for another $25-30. Put the $350-400 you save into your Axiom sub fund.

I agree. The diminutive T-amp -- it's about the size of a VHS tape -- is really an amazing bargain.

An Onkyo M-282 or Audiosource Amp Two would fit the bill fine.

Heres the deal, my “real” system is a Marantz sr6300 with a Marantz m9000 5 channel receiver/amp.. with a pari of 60’s, qs8’s, vp150 and ep600.. so the reason for the m22’s was it will represent more accurately the system most people will have.. maybe I will just use my “real” system.. and forgo the whole m22’s idea.. plus m22’s are much smaller.. so I don’t know.. just kind of brain storming at this point at time.

thanks fo the t amp idea though, that is a great one.

I have the Yamaha RX-V657 (600$ CND.) with the M22ti and it's an excellent combo.

For 400$ CND I would go with the Yamaha RX-V457.
