Ahh, you mean the 7800 GTX--nice card indeed. I "only" have a 6800 Ultra, but at the time I built my rig (about 5 months ago) it was the king of the hill. I think that I'll live with it for another year or so and then build a new computer with PEG (PCI Express Graphics) and hopefully either SLi or Crossfire.

Too bad that nVidia cancelled their plans of having an Ultra version of their 7800 card with 512 MiB. Some games (like Battlefield 2 and CoD 2) apparently benefit from a 512 MiB framebuffer.

As a side note (small rant about SI units and IEC standards): I dislike how when refering to memory capacities that are in base 2, pretty much all hardware sites (even the article I linked above) say the base 10 names. 1024 bytes is NOT a kilobyte. It is a kibibyte. 1000 bytes is a kilobyte. Similarly, 1048675 bytes (1024^2) is not a megabyte, but rather a mebibyte. Oh well, at least some apps are starting to use the correct units.
