Newkid, if you do a Google search for 'Home Theatre Accessories' you will come up several places to find these types of seating along with other, well, 'home theatre accessories'.

No I haven't New, I was actually looking around for various accessories and did a Google search for home theatre accessories and a couple of nifty little places popped up.

The connected individual reclining chairs with the beverage holders look pretty darn slick, don't they? I'm thinking one of these days a set of those thrones is going to find BrotherBob stamped all over 'em.

How many are you looking at/wanting?

The Genesis II goes for $1099 for a row of two seats, $1699 for a row of four seats.

However, there's some really groovy deals to found their. Their Gladiator seats come in a row of two seats for $999, a row of three seats $1299, a row of four seats for $1699 and so on.

Or the Buccaneer's, which are really nice, come in a row of two seats for $899, a row of three seats for $1049, and a row of four seats for $1349.

They've got a very large and wide range of products. Just depends on what your looking for.

We bought theater seating from http://www.directfurniture.com/ they did a really great job on shipping and customer service was great. They sell on ebay as well... so what I did was ask for a quote on ebay and then called them up and ordered directly from their store.

We ordered 3 rows of 4 chairs of their Studio Collection http://www.directfurniture.com/bllehoth.html for $3620 USD. They sit really great. And they look alot like berkline 090's. We have had them for about 6 months and have so far had no problems. Here is a picture of them.

Unless you have a bunch of people over regularly, why not just have a couple of recliners?

The one thing I DON'T want to emulate with my HT room is movie style seating. That would be like buying a Gulfstream G5 private jet and outfitting it with coach seats. The seating in a typical movie theater is all about getting the most people in the least space. I'll leave that behind thank you.

Funny I am in the minority on this one.

Greg

Edit: I have just now seen the pics above me and while posh and likely expensive, it still would give me that feeling of being in a theater and not watching movies at home. Nice setup though.

Wow, I love that setup. I'd definitely be more than happy with that seating arrangement.

thanks for comments and suggestions.....your seating arrangement really looks nice......what i am looking at is one row of 3-4 chairs...but not very bulky or huge looking but something sleek with ability to recline....and be useful if not used in a home theater......

I love the look of John's room; those seats look great, and I think they were a spectacular value.

I'm kind of with Greg, though. What I like about watching movies at home is actually sitting on the COUCH next to my wife. But I do not have a dedicated HT room, so that certainly changes the equation for lots of people.

I guess it just depends upon how often you entertain in your HT and how many guests you have. Again, not only space but also lifestyle come into play. Even if I had the money and the square footage, I'd likely never have the time to entertain that many people often enough to justify such elaborate specialized seating.

It's kind of like "the only thing better than HAVING a Boat, is having a FRIEND with a Boat"
