I'm just starting to set up some new stuff.
The Epic 80/500 speakers sound great.
A Denon 3805 receiver seems so far to
be more than fine .
My question.
Has anyone wall mounted an LCD T.V. themselves?
I have a Samsung 46" with what i'm told is the
proper hardware.
The thought of taking a drill to the back of
$4000.00 T.V. makes me nervous.
I'm new at this and have learned some valuable
lessons here.
Thanks'
Ken

Hi and welcome to the boards Ken! You are certainly looking at some very good equipment there.
Regarding the TV, it should have the threaded mounting holes already on the back of the TV frame, our plasma did and that's how we mounted it using a universal wall mount bracket. I believe most of the flat panel TVs should be ready for hanging without drilling.

Ah' but that's the rub.
There is nothing to indicate any mounting proceedure.
Just the plastic tub that covers the back.
I find in searching that the plasmas seem to
be a little defferent from the LCDs in the mounting area.
The instructions that came with the mounting
package(Peerless # fxwm-75-200) don't help much.
Anyway, on the wall or on a stand, Starship Troopers
never looked or sounded so good.
I'll keep looking.

What's the model number for the Samsung? I'm sure the collective can come up with an answer. We just need to take a look at the manual for both the mount and the tv.

I helped my dad hang his 42" Hitachi Plasma not that long ago. It was very easy. The main thing was to make sure we hit studs in the wall for the main mounting bracket. After that the Plasma just hung over the top of the bracket, very easy.

I looked at the manual for the LN-R469D. Is this your model? In the manual it looks like there should be a pattern of holes for mounting brackets already in the rear panel. If your mount doesn't fit these holes you might want to pick up a different mount.

It is a Samsung LNR469D. The manual and the
mounting kit both show it but the holes are not
there. A C.S. person at Samsung gave me the number for a
tech person. Maybe I'll find out tomorrow.
I'll post the information for anyone who is curious.
Ken.

An hour on the phone with Samsung and I came
up empty. If anyone ever trips over the answer
I sure would like to know.
Thanks' all.
