What's your dream concert? Opening act, main act, guest appearance, venue . . . and you're dreaming so no old faves are off the list - the band can be broken up, whoever is dead can come back to life - sky's the limit!

Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix. If my living room doesn't count as a venue, I'll chose the Capital Center for the Arts...a nice little venue refurbished recently and down the road from me.
Can Jonny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepherd share opening billing status?
Ummm, lets go with the CCftA venue...otherwise those guys will tell me my acoustics suck in my living room!
Good thread, Amie!

Mark,
You just typed in my reply. Seriously I was going to say the same exact thing.I was lucky enough to have seen Jonny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
Not in your room though, I heard the acoustics suck

I've seen Jonny twice, KWS once, and SRV 5x... too young to see Hendrix because no one would have taken an eight year old!
There was a thread awhile ago where members were listing who they've seen in concert. I'm glad I saw SRV when I did, and I've only been to maybe 12 concerts total in comparison to others here who have seen 30 or 50 bands.

I never did get the chance to see SRV, I wish I had went to his last concert at Alpine Valley Ws.I did run across a cd of that very same performane of SRV called " Peace in the Valley ".It's quite chilling knowing this was his last performance.

Good thread idea, this may top my "Watcha Listening to Tonight" thread in the Stereo section. I'll have to give this some thought..

I should have known somebody would have beat me to Stevie Ray and Jimi Hendrix *but* I'm going to slide in Mr. Buddy Guy as well ... No opening act, no guest appearances, just these three gentlemen doing what they do best!
Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Guy.
That, my friends would be a heck of an awesome show.

I've got a few, but the Doors would be cool.

Would that be with the original Paul or his impostor?
