Guys:
I have all my Axioms in black finish. All of them perfect, except fot the M22's that a friend scratched while unpacking (minor scratch, in the back side edge, but both of them?? give me a break.. I almost killed the guy).
I did was not courageous enough to get the custom finish the last year when I did buy my first Axioms without hearing them, just based in reviews (xtremely happy, of course). This year I got more (those M22 and a EP350 to EP500 upgrade), and continued to use the black finish to match the rest.
But now, I am thinking of customizing the colors, and having that little "Custom Finish for Me" plaque.
I want to do the move early next year (before april if possible and affordable), but I havent heard of anyone in the BB sending back the speakers for "re-finishing". I might need to sell them to buy the new ones.
What are the experiences here at the BB, on selling your Axioms? I am not sure of how much money will I loose in selling used speakers to buy the same new ones... does that make sense? Or had anyone "re'finish" your speakers? I have to find out the price of the freight for those if so...
Well, any help, advice, hint, or experience with similar thoughts will be appreciated.
Regards and happy holidays.

My understanding is that we don't typically use this forum to buy and sell speakers. I have sold some on ebay and got around 65% of original cost & felt that was pretty normal. If you are interested in selling, pm me. I'd like to discuss.

I apologize if a rule of the BB was broken by my post.
I did not know about that. I was just asking about the experiences on selling them, or trying to change the finish of them, not necessarilly selling them on the forum.
The reason I asked here, is that I am not familiar with Internet sells. I havent used EBAY or anything like that. My major Internet purchases has been my HT equipment, and I used the phone for most of them. I am not a US or CAN national, so I am not really into the internet purchases.
I do appear in the Frappr AxiomOwners map in the border with Mexico, but I am not from there either. I am working in the US with an oilfield company and move every 2-6 years. Here is where I knew about Axiom in the internet, and researched and audition some speakers in some dealer stores for about 6 months before taking the plunge to buy the only ones I did not hear.
So, again, I am sorry if a rule was broken by mistake.

I would say Audiogon and eBay are your best bets for selling your speakers.
Go for the custom finish!

I think your fine Alberto, as far as I know there is nothing wrong with seeking advice on other members experiences on selling speakers. It would have been a different story if you were actually trying to sell them on the forum, which you were not. I think as long as your speakers are in good shape, they should hold a good resale value.

You could contact Axiom and see if they would let you trade up... There are rumors of them doing that sort of thing. No guarantee, of course.
