I'm not sure how good this player is but for the price it has everything for high definition. Also if you look at the bottom of the site it shows you the movies available in high definition already. Here is the link:http://www.neodigits.com/body/product/HVD2085/feature.asp#

I spent $109 for a toshiba upscaling dvd player. It doesn't do PAL, but it does everything else for the most part. Although it only upconverts to 480p, 720p and 1080i.
