After all the much help on this board, I purchased my speakers. For the sub I ordered the EP500.
I wasn't familiar with a trigger line till I started reading some specs on the EP500.
So to make this message short, would the wire/link below work with - say a Denon 3805 (or similiar make & model) with the Ep500?

It's a 6ft - 3.5mm to 3.5mm plug cable.
The length may change, depending on sub placement.

Also anyone else using the trigger line from a Denon type receiver with a EP500 or 600 sub?

You got me on the right path Ajax.
I did some more googling about triggers and jacks and read from another stereo board that stereo 3.5mm jacks do not work the trigger, but mono do.
Is this true for the EP500/600 line?

Plug or Jack--which do you need?
A "JACK" is a female "SOCKET" that mounts to a panel or onto a circuit board. A female receptacle that attaches to a cord is called an "INLINE JACK".
A "PLUG" is a male connector that attaches to a cord.
A PLUG that mounts on a panel is called a "CHASSIS MOUNT PLUG"
Male or Female connector--which GENDER is it?
A "FEMALE" connector has a "center hole"
A "MALE" plug has a "pin" for the center "tip" connection which fits into the Female "Jack"

And yes, I believe a cord with mono plugs is what you want.

The 3.5mm or 1/8" mini "phone" plug is a tried and true connector. They are known as TS or TRS connectors. Tip Ring Sleeve denotes a stereo plug: Tip is left signal, ring is right signal, sleeve is ground. Tip Sleeve is mono: Tip is signal, sleeve is ground. Most mono jacks will accept a stereo plug no problem since the tip is always a signal. The ring either has no contact or acts as a ground in this configuration. In some instances however only a mono (Tip/Sleeve) plug will work. The 1/4" phone plugs work the same way. BTW if you want to have some fun you can pick up a 2.5mm plug and wire an old telephone handset into it and plug it into your cell phone. The best are those old AT&T black handsets. I get the greatest double takes on the street with mine.

Exactly, the triger can be operational even if the cables are stereo or mono 3.5 mini plug.

I used a 3.5 stereo with my EP600 and have no probs.
My receiver do not having a triger, no problem i use a litle transformers (Adjustable 1 to 12 volts)with the auto ac goes on the harman receiver start. The ac output turning off when receiver off.
Working whitout any problem. And dont forget its low cost...
