hello, i have a pair of m-80's, and the other day my son, poked something into one of my tweeters and bent the bottom and the top part of the titanium foil, i was wondering what the effect this would have on the performance of the tweeter, i was able to remove it, and smooth it back out a little bit, but if anyone has an opinion, i would appreciate hearing it. thanks alot, reade.

Sell the son to the gypsies.
Oh, that's not what you wanted an opinion on? If the dome wasn't punctured - probably not much issue with how the tweeter will sound... but since you know the damage is there, you will listen for it, and probably will hear... something... that's just not quite right... give Axiom a call, tell them the story and at the very least they'll probably send you out a new tweeter at low cost.

Wow readster, that is a good story. I have a 7yr old and a almost 2yr old, both sons. I tell ya, I'm still in my 30's and they really ware me out. They get pretty crazy with the Star Wars Light sabors sometime, I'll have to keep a close eye on them as they get near my Axiom babes.....

oh yeah, i guess i didn't mention that my son just turned 4, so he's still very curious, and hasn't even started to grasp the concept that things have value, a deadly combo.

Whew, makes me glad my son is now 19. I couldn't imagine the headaches of dealing with very small kids and the Axioms.
Which reminds me. A few months back the neighbor came over with her 12 year old son and of course the little chucklehead just had to play with the H/K remote while the music was playing. He was getting a little loud with the music and we asked him to turn it down (we were in another room), lo and behold if he didn't do a full bore blast of the system as quick as the remote would allow. I had to make a mad dash to turn it down before something came unglued....the kid said "sorry, I thought whenever the (volume) numbers on the receiver went lower the sound would to!" Smack me on the forehead with the palm of my hand.
Kids are great, love 'em to death but now whenever smaller kids come over I let them and their parents know right up front if they want the digits on their little mitts missing ... touch the system.

I'm normally a pretty mild-mannered kind of guy... quiet, low-talker - in social situations at least - at work or during sports, that changes. Lisa had friends over with an infant son and a 3 year old son.
He sits down in the rec room... looks up, sees the VP150 and immediately gets up, finger extended to go poke a woofer... I let him get within about 6" and then bellowed "JOHN! NO!" he sat down so fast you'd think I'd hacked his legs off.
This is the same kid the mother heard him in the hallway... saying "open, close, open, close" and assumed he was playing with the closet door or something... as she peeked around the corner she saw him kneeling in front of the family retriever, poking it in the eye with his finger... "open, close"

Ah, nostalgia. This thread makes me recall ghostbuster back packs and teenage ninja turtles

My 11 year old daughter had a freind sleep over last week and they were playing hid and seek form my 2 year old son. They were hiding behing one of my 60's and ON MY 500. I yelled at them and had a little one on one conference with my daughter. Let me tell you I think she has not been within 5 feet from the speakers since.
My 2 year old son tried at first to mess with the Axiom's but I got on him right away and he does not even touch them.
