I have the old axiom ax1.5s. Does anyone have a clue which speaker in the new line replaced this? If there is not direct successor, which would be a similar speaker? I'm trying to understand where my speakers would stand in the current line up.

There were less models, and they played out like this:

Smallest to Largest:
AX1, AX1.5, AX2 Bookshelf, AX2 Regular, AX3, AX5, AX Sub.
You could also find all above (except AX1 and AX Sub as they only came as Reference) in
Reference, which had real wood veneer, and bi-amping in AX2,3 and AX5.

I would guess (Ian will set me straight if I missed) the M60/80 would be AX5, M40/50 would
be AX3, M22 would be the AX2, M3/M2 the AX1.5, M1 to AX1, and of course
the subs-no idea.

The aluminum cones were standard in the Sub. The AX3, and AX5 had separate internal
cabinets for "separation" of the woofer/sub. The unique model was the AX5 with a 10"
woofer firing out the REAR of the cabinet. From the front it was a large cabinet, with only the
tweeter and midrange visible if you removed the grille, and they were offset from the center of the cabinet.
