Big deal. So are ours... and you can walk on them too. Try that in your part of the world

I bet that looks funny whenever the wind blows hard and there aren't any waves, not too good for surfing I bet.

I've seen some questionable people *try* to walk on the water here, didn't work out too well though. Splash!

Amen to what Mark said, John. Got a good belly laugh this morning. I gotta remember that line when I get hassled by my brother in Ft. Myers, and my sister in S.F. 9 degrees here this morning.

I had my fair share when I lived in Newfoundland and Ottawa when I did my studies up north. Still remembered waiting for bus at -40C at Nepean, On.

Now I am in TX, a session of freezing rain shutdown the whole city for 2 days couple of years ago !!!

I can actually empathize with you cold weather guys today. I played a round of golf yesterday in frigid 60* weather - last couple holes there were even some sprinkles.

If I had known the weather was going to be so inclement, I would have worn long pants!

When it gets into the lower 40s and the wind is blowing only moderately, golf season has arrived (generally mid-April). When we see temps in the 60s, June has arrived.

Golfers are nuts.

We played an early round this winter one weekend. At the first tee it was 39* and windy. Frozen fingers made for a very difficult first few holes.

Let me know next time you're in soCal and I'll steer you to some very nice local courses. I think this has got to be public golf heaven here. Lots of nice courses competing with each other.

Played a Payne Stewart design yesterday for $35! All 18 and GPS to boot.
