I echo Jack's advice. If you can afford it, go for the big boys. I am familiar with the M80 which I have, and the M22 which I bough for my nephew. No comparison between the two.

Here is post where Real80sman is using a Yamaha HTR-5660 to drive a set of M80s. I think you will do fine using the 2600.
