i ordered a nice 7.1 system from the the outlet a week or 2 ago. As you can well imagine despite doing this i am excited and can't wait til the speakers arrive. Was just wondering how accurate the posted wait times they have there compared to what people actually had to wait.

Will it really take that long? What are the chances it will be even longer?

The dates are pretty accurate. Normally, you will get all the speakers you ordered before the longest lead time stated. If I recall it would be like averaging all the times stated. So, if you had 2wks, 3wks, 4wks, and 8 wks, you'll most likely get them all around 4 wks timeframe.

Also, don't be alarmed if the dates change week to week, Axiom will honor the dates at the time of order...

Mine got to me in about 2 weeks. Don't worry, it's worth the wait!

Welcome to the forum, your chances are better that the wait will be shorter, also Axiom will most likely send you an e-mail saying when they will be shipped. Have fun with your new toys and let us know how you like them.

My situation was a little different. When I ordered by system, the longest "wait" time was 15 weeks!!! That was for the QS8s at the time. The M60s were something like 4 weeks, and the Vp150 was 6 weeks. (Average of 8.3 weeks.) I called and checked on them from time to time (I am sure that Axiom gets calls like that all of the time from us eager folks) and it was pretty darn close to 12 weeks. I ordered them well in advance of needing them (for the theater area I was building) so I wasn't in a hurry, but I sure wanted to get them. Any more, wait times are usually in a few weeks is all, not 3 months.

So, start another hobby in the meantime, or learn a new skill.... Anything to keep you busy and your mind off of waiting.

I ordered my M3's on April 27th with a six week wait, which would be this Thursday. I'm patiently awaiting the email saying they're on the way!!

I was told an estimated ship date of May 23rd. Since I did not get a shipping notice by e-mail I called on May 24th and talked to Allen. He told me they would ship on or before June 6th. I did not get shipping notification today so I guess I will call tomorrow and get another update on estimated ship date.

The leadtimes are getting longer and longer, I would not be suprised if they lowered the discount for the factory outlet orders. They do not seem to have a problem selling the seconds with people lining up to wait 12+ weeks.

I guess it will be worth the wait, but I have the rest of the theater completed now and really want the sound component.

thx all for the comments. waiting a little is actually good as i need to finish putting in the sconce lighting. ...and patch some holes. but in a couple weeks when i have that done there will be nothing to do but wait. The last wait time (qs8) gives me them in mid august. so i will still have a month to wait once the room is fully ready.
