Be careful with those fireworks.

Right back at you Doug!

I had to work all weekend, which pretty much shot any travel plans so today the wife and I are just hanging around the house doing some small chores and man is it ever hot. Later on we're going to walk down to the beach for the shuttle launch and then cook up some game hens along with some black beans and rice which will be topped off with key lime pie ... maybe a brew, or two. Yum Yum.
Maybe watch some fireworks later.

Like Doug, I'm wishing everybody a great holiday and be careful!

Yea, Happy 4th to those of us in the USA. For me, fireworks were last night, and what a show! If ever someone is in the midwest for the 4th of July, you really should see the fireworks and airshow in Dubuque, Iowa on July 3rd each year. Small town (about 60,000 people normal population) feel with big city show (just as good as St. Louis show according my relatives that live there)...

How about this for an Independence Day fireworks display, from 60 miles away ...

What an impressive sight!

Is that the shuttle? How far off the beach is my guest room Rick? I’m thinking that you are about to get a permanent house guest if the beach isn’t too far away.

My 4th is a ‘recovery’ day. I shouldn’t have brought out the Don Julio last night. I’m not feeling so good today………and to top it all off, one of the girls that brought food over last night played a cruel joke on me. She made an absolutely wonderful curry dish, but put friggin pee’s in it….and lot’s of them. So I’m sitting here feeling like crap, hungry and frustrated trying to dig these ******* pees out of my lunch…….I’m going back to bed….

Happy Independence Day folks!

Mike,

Pees? Eeeewwww. Is that why the curry was yellow?! That was a cruel joke! I'd recommend peas next time.

Funny, I had a Don Julio "day after" a couple of weekends ago. Still not all that excited about drinking tequila.

Happy 4th to all!

Rich
