Generally, QS8's are meant to go in a horizontal position. Mounting them on the T bracket would cause this orientation. My question is, could the QS8's be oriented 'vertically' on say a horizontal |- ? This way, the tweeters would be firing up and down, and the woofers/mids would be firing left to right.

I dunno, just had a random thought, while listening to some music this evening. It might not be 'realistic' but I wonder if it would work at all, and how it might sound. Might just have someone hold one, as I listen to it......

See ya.

It would probably be OK, but probably not as effective as the normal mounting, although with tile/vinyl/hardwood floors and drywall ceilings it probably would be fine. I think the reasoning behind the normal layout is that lower frequencies are less likely to be absorbed by the ceiling and floor so they can point at the floor and ceiling while the tweeters are generally pointing at walls or listeners.

This is all speculation though...

I presume it would work best if the room was also rotated 90 degrees. Be sure to bolt your furniture down first.
