Anybody else experiencing a very sluggish response on the Axiom forums tonight? I'm having no troubles with other websites I frequent, just Axiom.

It's your new avatar causing your problems.

Tonight seems okay, last night there was a period of a couple hours that I could not connect to the home site or the forum.

Once it's cached we like it just fine, but until then...

The forums were definitely down or unreachable for a while yesterday, along with the main axiomaudio.com site.

There has to be something going on tonight between Iowa and Axiom. I just performed a Ping and Trace Route and am getting many * (request timed out) entries.

Weeeew, thanks Mary I was hoping Nick or you would jump in here and back me up. This reminds me of the days of 900-1200 BPS modems, yuck I would kill for 56KB speed right now. It seems my Firefox browser is doing a little better than IE ,but not much. I don't think it is Axiom now, I have hit other websites on the East coast with the same problems, hmmm.

Looks like Randy's local ISP is pretty slow, then the next big delay seems to be clearing customs between Chicago and Scarborough (a suburb of Toronto).

Randy, have you switched over to winterized TCP/IP packets yet ? We're getting snow and ice up here you know.

Hello All;

Our hosting provider was having some connection problems in the early hours of October 24th, which resulted in intermittant timeouts and unreachable pages.

I'm taking the tracert results and will forward them to our hosting provider to see if we can resolve the slow response time from Iowa.

Sorry for any inconvenience!

It's very slow loading for me right now too, and I'm not in Iowa. Utah rather, but I am using Qwest, so probably something between them and Axiom's ISP.

?

See guys I'm not crazy. Dave, I am also on Qwest DSL, not sure what Mary is using, but I'm guessing it could be Qwest also. I'll have to try again when I get home.

Qwest it is! Oh, and YouTube also was not working for me at *all* last night and this morning at work (also Qwest). It seems to be OK for right now. I thought it was their servers, but I sent some links to a friend in Brazil and they worked fine for her. Hmmm?!

<Psst, Ken! I've seen it, and I don't think your missing much. . .>

Actually, it's not all that bad--parts I like and parts I don't. Hmm, kinda like most movies, now that I think about it. . .

I only just saw it myself. It was Thanksgiving... we were all suffering turkey paralysis... the movie was playing... the remote was just out of reach...

I thought it was pretty good. One of those movies where you're always surprised by what happens next, so after a while you start watching it more carefully. If I had to summarize in two words, I would say "Cheerfully Odd".

If I had to summarize in haiku, I would need assistance.

Not to get OT, but we counter the paralysis by going with cajun deep-fried turkey!

I had the same problem with YouTube yesterday- so slow it was useless. I had one video load that I left for about 3 hours. All seems fine again today. Apparently the problem affected Qwest users, to Axiom and YouTube.
