I pre-ordered the Wii play with remote in Jan. with 9 new games, a Shooting Range, Billards, Table Tennis, Laser Hockey and more. I had forgotten all about it until I got an e-mail saying it would be here tomorrow via UPS.

I was just looking at that too. I came really close to ordering it but I decided to wait until I play the wario ware smooth moves I already have first, I guess I need to open it to play it.

I have the component cables. If you have a widescreen, I strongly recommend using component cables. You can actually "hack" your existing cable to use component but it's not pretty, though it works.
I noticed a big difference when playing Zelda. I've played Madden, pretty cool. I have Trauma Center but haven't even opened it yet. Busy w/ my DS Lite playing Phoenix Wright. Yeah, I'm a gamer...
The Mii's are pretty cool. I share mine w/ a bunch of other gamers and when you play Wii sports, their Mii's show up as other players.

I do see a difference with the component cables and I'm using an HD TV. Not as noticable (to me) on Wii Sports, but really obvious with Excite Truck, Madden NFL ,etc. Would love to get this groups impressions of both Wario Ware Smooth Moves and the new Wii Play. I've read reviews of both, but sometimes it's hard to tell until you can calibrate your preferences with those of reviewers. Since this crowd is obviously so smart and with excellent taste, I assume I can listen to you guys! Also begs the question of whether we want to share our Mii's with each other. I don't know that many other Wii owners, and I've avoided signing to share with a bunch of folks I don't really know, like over in AVSForums. Rich

Still no time for Wii Play, had to do some renovating to get the new Over the Rang microwave installed. Had to pull new wire from basemnet for it's own circuit, rerouted old hood fan wire into ceiling to be used for new light fixture, moved cabinet over the range up 5" to allow for new microwave and now working on moving cabinet over the fridge up to make room for the new fridge, which is 2" taller than the opening. Maybe I can give you an idea of Wii Play later this week. I used the component cables on a non HD/ED TV and they made a slight difference, pictures were a little crisper and images seemed to move more smoothly, probably not really worth the money in my case.

Took some time to get my butt whipped by my 6yr old an Wii Play ths afternoon. It is quite fun. My son had a hard time getting the pool cue to work right so I beat him on this one and He also had a hard time working the fishing rod in 3d so I was able to beat him on that one. FInd the Mii was a tie and he creams me on the Cow ride. We split a few games on the target shoot and laser hockey. He destroys me in Tanks! All in all it is worth the money just to see the Miis you have created do something else. I was able to set a gold medal performance on the target shoot once he left and a Silver in Cow ride.

Got my first chance to play the new Wii play today, it has a mixture of a few good games with the rest Imo being mediocre. It did come with an extra remote that I needed, so in my case it was worth it.

Wii play sounds better than WarioWare Smooth Moves. After the guys at the game store HIGHLY recommended it, I have to say I'm HIGHLY disappointed. All the mini games are really quick and just dont interest me. Your mileage may differ.
