Now you see why Ian doesn't spend the time on the board that he used to(although he might claim that he's spending it all on the M90).

I'm looking forward to the release myself, I just hope they do a decent job of re-mastering it for DVD with lots of cool added footage etc.

I heard they digitally replaced Indiana Jones' whip with a yo-yo...

(That was a bad attempt at poking fun at Steven Spielberg's butchery of the E.T. remaster)

Thought everyone might like to see a few pics of the new M90s being tested using strict NRC criteria.

The new speaker itself. We wanted to call it the M160, but it seemed complicated. That's Amie Lucyk, Axiom's receptionist, in the background, with emergency rum and coke stock at the ready, in case of testing difficulties.

Boys in the band mounting the speaker. You may have seen Boyce's Road's little yellow CD in some of our tower speaker pics. Boyce's Road has been playing a live show at Ian's dock every summer for the last six years. This year, they decided to try proper sound instead of PA monitors - what a change!

That's Ian on the left, Mike Rogers in the middle, and Peter Bobyk on the right. You've seen their pictures *ahem* slightly more formally attired in the December 2002 newsletter, testing speakers at the NRC.

Axiom Epic 80 owner (oh, and Canadian comedian) Mike Bullard introducing the band . . .

The M90s were a hit! Unbelievable sound reproduction - all the neighbors thought so! And now you know what it is Ian does all summer . . .

Note said tan is missing earlier in the day . . . actually, there had been a lot of dancing by this point in the evening . . . to test the dispersion of the M90s at different heights, of course, and across the entire span of the dock.

Umm... The gorgeous house overlooking a lake through huge windows. A private dock with boats. Celebrities visiting regularly. And, last but not least, a beautiful lovely wife... I guess Ian is making way too much money out of his outrageously expensive speakers!!!

So, what was the peak SPL level afforded by the M90s??? LOL
