We don't want you to be Frank, just Mark! Your stand looks like it could be precut and drilled and packaged unfinished. I realize that there are a lot of variables in TV sizes, but it seems that basic height and depth would cover it.

Very easy to use adjusteable telescopic tubes for the uprights and horizontals to adjust for TV heights and depths.

I thought about the Omnimount type of products but I really don't think it will work with my Sony, the back is almost entirely vertical. I actually spent a lot of time looking for something like the LCVU26B from Tech Craft. It seems like it would be a very optimal solution. Unfortunately I can't find ANYTHING like this that would accommodate a 32" LCD.

Hello, I had a very similar problem (I got a Sony 40XBR1 LCD TV...). Anyway, you can check out my posts about it here: center speaker stand and here: post with links to pics There are links to pics of my setup. Incidently, since I had to buy a pair of those stands, I still have an extra one if you are interested

Mark, your center stand is an excellent idea with very good craftsmanship and with what you did to the cabinet brings everything together so well. I've always thought your room looked so good and flowed together so well with what you have done with the colors, flooring, equipment cabinet and finish on the speakers. You and your wife truly have a great taste for decorating, kudos!
I must have missed this post somehow because I don't remember seeing it prior to now.

I ended up ordering the stand I posted in the picture above. It says it's rated to 40lbs and my Sony weighs like 43 without it's base, so I'm going to live on the edge and give it a shot. I figure the speaker sitting on the bottom should give it some extra ballast. I guess we'll see what happens!
Incidentally what you mentione din that post of yours you linked is exactly whay I was trying to avoid above television mounting options. Everything I've ever read indicates the front tweeters should be in as straight a line as possible at ear level, or it makes the sound appear to come from above the screen.

Yea, as mentioned in my post, I preferred the sound when I had the speaker below the TV. But as you can see from the pics, there is just no room below the TV to put the massive V150 there. I've been playing with the tilt, and aiming the V150 more toward the listening level, and I've gotton it to a point now where it's really not bad.
One advantage of having the center above the TV is that it looks nicer having the speaker flush with the TV, which is very difficult to accomplish below the TV.
