Currently I have a denon 3803 and am thinking of upgrading either to a HK745 as it is 7.2 and I am eventually going with a dual sub layout. or Buy the A-965 and use the denon as a pre/pro. eventually getting the P-965.
Has anyone heard the HK745 or the Sherwoods I have MT80's

If you are looking at the P965 then you should take a look at Outlaw 990 which is based on the same frame but built to Outlaw specs. Also Outlaws 7125 or 7700 amps built by ATI.

Yes, I have heard the 745. I just sent it back to them. It’s a feature rich receiver far and above anything else in its price range, and then some. The only problem with it, is it’s plagued with bugs. Not just the one I had either. HK is working on a firmware update to address the bugs, but they’ve been saying htat for six months now. And that’s to rectify the issues that they admit the receiver is having. Good luck with the rest of the issues, like processing HDMI multi channel uncompressed PCM. I’m also pretty disipointed in its build quality. Instead of going off the 7xxx line amps and adding new features, HK dumped that line. HK tech support is very good, fortunately. I’m guessing they took their QC budget and redirected it to tech support.

Yes, about the Outlaw I like it but hate paying brokerage ,duties ,taxes, extra shipping etc.

Why not wait and see the pricing for the new Axiom amp. I would hope they would still offer free shipping for them as well.

but I was looking at that outlaw gear and I really like the mono channel amps or maybe a 5 channel and two monos for my front L/F.
I wanted a 3 channel and two 2 channel amps. But yeh, HK is off my list. I am now looking at the Sherwood and Outlaws.
Unless Axiom gets there amp out before

M3 centres ?

I like the dialog to be centerd on the screen and felt like the single center was too localized. I ordered two M3s and use them in an over/under screen combination. I didn't want to order a second VP150 and the M3s work great.

The VP150 is a great speaker and I am not knocking it. Unfortunately it remains boxed up in the closet.

I think I bought my son a set of M3's not sure though they maybe M2" I will have to check and try it out.
