Does anyone here have one? I've got one that I am selling to make way for a "newer model" but didn't know if anyone here had this Japanese combination slot machine/"vertical pinball" (looks more like a "Plinko" from The Price is Right, but....)
It really adds to the "game room" feel. Heck, the new one I am looking at has a speaker "out" jack. I want to hook it up to my receiver and crank up the Axioms!

I think my mom used to have one. Nothing fancy. Personally, I'd really like to get a pinball machine at some point. I've always wanted one.

I always loved those. My college roommate had one, and it was clearly detrimental to my scholarship.

I had a "vintage" one when I was a kid. All mechanical, no lights, no sounds. My current one is way different. LCD screen in the middle, lots of lights, lots of sounds. I also own the Theatre of Magic pinball machine. Very nice! I've got some pictures and a video of the pachinko at: Crazy Combat Pachinko

I’ve had the same mechanical one for about 35 years but never played the newer slot combo machines. The old one is addictive enough but I bet the new ones are pretty cool.

Yeah, I am doing sort of a trade/swap thingy with mine. So it is no longer for sale, but here is what I am doing. I've located a guy who is regarded as THE best source for pachinko items in the US, and the best thing is that he is about 2 hours away. What luck. Anyway, I wanted a new Star Wars pachinko, but found out that it is only a few wire plugs and some clamps that hold the "cell" or game board (with the screen, lights, circuit boards, etc) on to it, so you can swap other "cells" into the same outside "frame." So instead of trying to find a place for multiple machines, you basically buy one frame, and the cells you want. They swap out in about 5 minutes, and that is taking your time. So I am getting a frame, and then a Star Wars cell (rated #2 right now), Indiana Jones cell (rated #3 right now), and a Julie cell (rated #1 right now). Best thing is that instead of working through an eBay "dealer" who claim that they are providing clean machines taken from parlors in Japan (with all of the scratches, and some areas not cleaned, etc), I am getting 100% new components. No smokey smell, no scratches, no burnt out bulbs... Plus, the cells cost less to buy, and cost less to ship since they aren't full machines. While I am picking mine up, they still cost the guy to get them here from Japan. So lower shipping DOES help me out too. Here is what they look like: Julie Star Wars Indiana Jones Should be fun!

Very awesome. That really was good luck finding that guy so close to you.

Wow those are very nice looking. Now I’m wishing I’d stopped by a pachinko parlor when I was in Japan last week, just didn‘t have much time.
Are the machines you are getting made for the U.S. or are still 100V and you just use them as is?

I've seen some videos of Japanese pachinko parlors, and they are crazy, and LOUD... This guy does a full set up for you. He swaps out the power supply with a 110v for US use. He adds volume controls, etc. Everything to make it a great home machine. The best thing, again, is that since he buys the "frame" and the "cells" seperately from Japan, he gets new parts, not something that was sitting in a parlor for 6-24 months being used every day...

Sounds like a really nice deal. Now all you need to do is get some audio from inside a pachinko parlor to play on your system really loud and you will have pachinko heaven minus the smoke I’m guessing.
