Well, guys, you've finally done it. I saw the m22ti's in the outlet and I couldn't resist. I just had to bite. Now, I'm just crossing my fingers, hoping they will be everything you've said they are. I pray I find them as wonderful as all of you have. I'd also like to express my gratitude to everyone on this forum who has so kindly put up with all my questions. I hope that I will hear enough to want to take the Yamaha speakers back to BB.

What?... What have we done to you???

Congrats on your "right" decision. Have you already packed up the Yamahas, btw?

Today is the day. My m22's are in Grand Forks, ND, only 75 miles away according to Fed Ex tracking. My fingers are tapping. No, I checked again. They arrived in Fargo. They're only 2 miles away. WEEEE!!!!!

The first cd to really blow me away with my M22's was Nora Jones. Sweeeet.

I took a nap this morning, woke up at 2pm central time, I walked out into the living room, my son was sitting next to a box, they're here. He asked me why I bought such small speakers. I hooked them up to my Yamaha. These are my first impressions. These are not what I expected. I did not experience any of the harshness, ie brightness that others have described. My son's psb 5t's are harsh. The m22's are not. The tweeters are exactly as they should be. I was expecting to be slapped in the face by these forward sounding speakers, I found them to be almost laid back. They sound like they should, from top to bottom. They are very natural sounding, a SHEER JOY to listen to. As a matter of fact, I cannot believe sound like that could possible come out of such small boxes. A miracle has happened in my living room. Thank you to all my friends at the Axiom message boards. What brightness?

That was my impression the first time I fired mine up, too. Of course, I got the speakers before I started reading the forums, so I didn't have the pre-conceived notion that they'd be bright. I think a lot of the perceived brightness comes from that expectation.
