The only reason I have satellite TV is for some of the series I like, and most are on HBO. So today I was getting curious when my favorite show, (Deadwood) was going to start the next season. I bounced over to HBO’s web sight and found out they cancelled the series. This disappointed the heck out me…. So then I figured I’d see when Carnival was going to start again and found out they cancelled it too! Well the idiots cancelled Rome as well and they have no plans to continue on with John from Cincinnati. I’m canceling my subscription to HBO….

I just cancelled my cable. We had it for two months and no one watched it.

Maybe you should Try Californication? It's my new favourite show but it's on Showtime in the States I believe.

Write a letter. If enough people do it, maybe they'll bring the shows back.

Yeah, yeah, it's what my wife says when I bitch about things. ;\)

I wish I could cancel my cable. Friggin' Comcraptic keeps raising the rates. But... no roof antenna, no dish allowed...

I've never really watched HBO or Showtime, now that DirecTv has around 70 HD channels I've got plenty of stuff to see. \:\)

You CAN cancel cable. There's no rule anywhere that you have to replace it with something...

DVD all the way here. The last show I was willing to watch ota was studio 60, and the stupid bastards cancelled it.
I figure for what cable would cost I can buy a lot of shows on dvd and have something at the end of the year. Plus- I no longer do commercials. \:\/

I'd be fine with HD OTA, my wife wants cable still though. I only watch the HD channels, so I would only really lose Comcast Sportsnet, and the ESPNs. While I like having them, they aren't worth the ~ $70 dollars a month cable costs.

I'd miss Discovery Channel, Sci-Fi, and Food Network. That's about all we watch on cable. On OTA, we only watch PBS and whatever network CSI is on. And Boston Legal.

Peter, if you're going to buy a "Kill your Television" bumper sticker, you have to move back over to this coast. ;\)

I'm hooked on the music channels, so I doubt I'll ever totally get rid of satellite. I did cancel HBO though. I'll try Showtime for a while. I watched the first couple episodes of Dexter and thought that was pretty good.

I REALLY liked "Studio 60". It was smart.

I just re-upped with DirecTV. We have 3 DVR's. Going to "something else" would be too big a change.

Studio 60? Haven't heard of that one...

I really don't watch much TV, but one would think so the way I bitch about it. I hate commercials, so I do not watch anything I can't zip through with the FF button.

It seams that this year there are numerous, cute and creative shows out. One we've been watching the past couple of weeks is Pushing Daisies. Weird, but cute. I'm hooked on Heros, Eureka and Battlestar Galactica, and Sarah has to watch Bones. Other than that, it's just movies.

Is it supposed to be out in December? Maybe I can resume watching season 2, then.

I see a different release day every month...and every month it gets later and later.

I am assuming December because season 4 airs in January, so season 3 would be released prior to season 4.
