Jack, how'd we all miss it here? Color me embarrassed.  I hope you had a wonderful birthday yesterday, and I wish you many more. Your presence on this forum is a treat for the rest of us, and I always value your input and well-thought out answers. Seeing as it's the morning, I'll raise my coffee mug and gently clink it against my computer screen in a toast, "Thanks for making the rest of us feel so young."

Thanks guys, but you didn't miss it. It's today! Actually, I've reached the age where missing a birthday is considered a favor..........and a blessing.  When I hit 60, I decided to start counting backward. Thus, today is my 58th birthday. By the time I buy the farm, you all can say "what a shame! Much too young to die."  Another thing I've started to do, in the right situation, is claim to be much older than I really am. That way, I get "MY! You look GRTEAT for someone your age." Sure beats the truth!

Shame on us for forgetting Jack's birthday!  To be honest, I have a hard time keeping track of all the birthdays here. Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JACK!!!  I consider you to be the most congenial gentleman here as well as one of the most helpful. You always go way beyond the call of duty to assist people. Not only that, you make everyone feel welcomed here. It has meant a lot to me since (apparently), I'm the only female that posts here besides Amie. You know, people always make fun of your age...but, you know what they say about older guys, right?! So...big kiss to you! You deserve it!

There are too many wiser, more knowledgeable members, not to mention younger (and nobody'd better mention it ), who do a wonderful job of helping the "new" and the "still learning" (which includes me), and are to be commended for the time, effort, and patience they devote to that task. Jack, you are too modest. We all have things to teach each other and we can all learn from each other. You make those interactions particularly easy and enjoyable. There are more important components of learning than just dispensing facts - like setting the example that it is joyful to practice the act of giving "time, effort and patience", and doing so with style, grace and eloquence.
