I admit I was going to bash it as extravagant nonsense, but their marketing has turned off the logic centers of my brain. I think I actually like how they look, too. \:\)

well, I think if they spent some of time they spent coming up with this marketing scheme actually designing speakers instead of 'timeless works of art' they may have something that sounds good.

Also, I find it odd that they sell something called a 'cube' which is 'great for a center or surround'

I wonder if I can use a qs8 as a center, with vp150 as surrounds? \:\)

edit:
holdy crap! look at their flaghsip model, weighing in at 200 kg!

The center channel for their flagship model runs about $40,000. It kind of looks like a robot, check it out:

And people thought the high gloss finishes had maintenance issues.

I'd hate to say it, but this is along the lines of the marketing glitz that Axiom is missing. Very simply, most prospective buyers need to feel inspired.

Them sure are purdy!!! I like this part....

"PERFECT8 Technologies are dedicated to producing ultra exclusive loudspeakers for the real connoisseur. Every detail of a PERFECT8 loudspeaker serves one ultimate purpose – perfect musical reproduction. Fill your senses with the purity of the music exactly the way it sounded at the time of recording"

When I first read it I inserted expensive in place of 'exclusive' with out realizing it, I had to read it twice just to make sure it actually said expensive.

I guess the question is whether you can both inspire and tell the truth. Once you start using words like "soaring" or "ephemeral" you're probably overstating the difference between even the best product and its peers.

Personally I hate marketing blurb that talks about how wonderful a product is in isolation. That might be inspiring to some but it's useless to me.

Then again, I have been told that I should "lighten up" a bit ;\)

I totally agree with you. It's a fine balance.

I almost like the look.
Almost.
