Sierra Ski Ranch rocks...I also like Kirkwood and Heavenly. I used to be quite athletic but an unfortunate accident left me with a herniated disk that hampers me somewhat.

Yeah, through my college years I used to ski competitively (slalom), and afterwards I always loved those mogul slopes in ski resorts. Lately, though, I realize that my leg muscles aren't up to it anymore...

Mogul...now there's a nasty word. I remember them being the size of Volkswagon Bugs at Telluride!! I've never been the same since.

I steer clear of all moguls when I can. At 6'4", by center of gravity doesn't agree with them.

I remember once on last season I got a little brave and tried a mild mogul run at the top of an easier black diamond. Even then, I whimped out and did the sidestep down the mountain.

You sure that was a mogul not a jump.

I hope to hit some of those slopes in the West one day. I've been lucky enough to have been boarding to Whistler, Interior BC places, Vermont, NY, Montreal, Quebec, Maine and once at 12,500+ in the Andes Santiago, Chile. This year I hope to hit either Vail or Utah before my back lets out due to spinal issues. LET IT SNOW ALREADY!!!!!!!

Just turned 40. But (in that James Brown kind of way), I feel good!

I appreciate learning from this multi-generational community. You folks teach me a lot. Thanks.
