What will be the reciever wpc recomendation for M22 and M60?
I'm looking at Maranz SR 4000 right now, but it's rated 70/3 40/2. Should I get something more powerful?

Thanks.

The Axiom speakers you quote are quite efficient, so the amplifier section of the SR 4000 should be a good output match.

I should point out that is unless you want to achieve concert hall volume levels! It will be a very capable match.

I would concur with BBIBH on your power question. The size of your room and the level of output you want to achieve are the factors to consider to get the right power for your system. For a normal room and decent maximum output the Marantz you are considering will work very well. If you have a large room and want to achieve high output then you will need to consider more power. It is important to keep in mind that the rated rms wattage of the amplifier is only part of the story. For music, and even more so HT, the amplifier needs to be capable of reproducing the high dynamic peaks in the source material without distortion.
