You would think that HD is the only format they would consider. I suppose it depends on what equipment is avaiable at the time.

I wouldn't think that at all. The idea of creating a DVD or CD is to market it, sell it and make a profit. If you only release in HD only you have limited your sales to a very very small segment of the population. This would be a bad business decision. You may have HD and love it. But you need to remember the rest of the world is still on standard DVD and probably will be for many years to come.

BTW, I saw RUSH in London at the JLC last September, they were awsome.

Actually, what I meant to say was, they would probably film the concert with HD cameras but not release a Blu-Ray HD DVD. You are correct, an HD DVD would limit the market.

Paul's right, I am hoping for a release in an HD format. I'll take either one. I've got both bases covered.

Couple of thoughts: I would suspect that Rush fans are more dorky likely to be early adopters of all things tech, so maybe there's an outside chance that they will release the DVD along with a BluRay. They did release Snakes and Arrows in both CD and MVI format.

Also, R30 was shot in HD format but only released, so far, on DVD. Maybe with the new video, they'll re-release R30 on BluRay ...

I can't wait until it's standard to release concerts in high-definition, as I think that's the only way the bands I listen to will be getting HD releases.

"Catatonia, Live in Manchester, 2000" coming soon to Blu Ray!

Nope, I think not. Charles, you're right. Dang.
