I picked up a few nice pieces today at the used disc shop.

1. SRV Texas Flood
2. SRV Couldn't Stand The Weather
3. Rush 2112
4.Robin Trower Victims of The Fury
5. Heart Magazine
6. Carly Simon The Best Of.
7. Jesse Crawford Over The Rainbow

What's nice is they are all in pristine condition and the whole lot was only $20.

Congrats Rick!! I've got a couple of those as well. Enjoy!

Now I have to run and get supplies for cleaning the records. I went to Best Buy and Circuit City and on both occasions when I asked if they had a record cleaning kit they looked at me like I had an eye in the middle of my forehead. I'll have to go back to the shop where I bought the cartridge.

Rick:
I ended up ordering a Stanton kit from Amazon. It seems the Discwasher system I had when I was younger is not so great anymore!

Waiting for that kit is part of the reason I haven't done much with the TT as of yet. There isn't much point in playing vinly that's really dusty!

I hear ya, I don't know why I didn't think of it when I was up there. It's an hour ride to the place.

I ended up with the Shure M97xE cartridge, it got good reviews on line and I agree it's a darn nice unit for the money.

This is what I ordered (and just came in 10 minutes ago), v. this one from Discwasher. I'll try it later this afternoon and let you know what I think!

That's a good price. I used to have the same Discwasher kit back in the day. I also had the anti static gun.

I probably still do in the attic somewhere! I had a carry permit for it and everything!

Well, maybe you do have an eye in the middle of your forehead. ;\)

I use Goo Gone and an old cotton shirt that is dust-free. Check with your local hardware store.

That stuff works great to remove decals or bumper stickers and the like, I didn't know you could use it to clean records... Cool!
