Hi,
Do you HSU owners like to put your subs into Max Output or Max Extension mode? Which one? I read the new single tuning subs is tuned to Max Extension mode permanently; is that the one that goes loud and deep? (correct me if I'm wrong).

max extension is deep....max output is louder...but not by much.

At that price point....the STF-2 is hard to beat, but I think the STF-3 is even a better value.

I believe that the new STF series uses the equivalent of the Max Output alignment on the VTF series.

Masa, Sasha's 9/11 reply indicates that the STF-2 will use Max Extension, but that(somewhat curiously)the STF-3 will use Max Output.

Oh, okay. I stand corrected.

By the way, why do you even pay attention to Sasha's posts, John? Are you interested in getting a Hsu sub???

I own the VTF-2, and keep it in max extension mode, seems to me, that the bass is a little tighter.
