Just got an LG UX565 cell phone to replace my old phone from US Cellular. It has mp3/wma player with upto 4GB using a MicroSD card and FM Transmitter with 10ft range.

Anyway, just curious if anyone has this model and if they have had problems with playing music from the SD card? I have tried various bitrates and formats, but the music sounds choppy and skips at times when using the phone earpiece, speakerphone, or earbuds.

I don't think it is the SD card since I can play it from my laptop and it sounds fine. I may have to take the phone back, any ideas?

Went into the Retail store tonight, tried the same model phone with my MicroSD card and the music was still cutting out and choppy. Funny thing, I tried another model LG offered with the same 4GB capacity, actually a previous model, and it worked great.

A quick refund/transaction and I'm rocking to the Doobies on my new phone.

This is the universe trying to tell you that you really want need an iPhone.

I don't know, after instant rebates and signing a 2 yr agreement at no extra charge (been with them since 1990), and a 4GB MP Player to boot, $29 bucks was hard to pass up.

Did you have a brick cell in 1990, or were they your pager service then?

Actually, I got to thinking about this and I actually got my first US Cellular Bag phone in 88. Nice black leather zippered case with antenna at one end. Inside was a large phone on a cradle with big square buttons and green led screen.

Fisherman on the east coast are crying for these things, even if it's broke for parts, because of their increased range out on the water. Our Mobility repair shop constantly has to break the news to distressed fisherman that they just can't get repair parts for them anymore.

Bet you'd be surprised if you EBAY it.

They still work? I thought the analog bands just got turned off.

Not shut off here yet, but someday. We have duel coverage most everywhere in the Maritimes of analogue and CDMA digital.

I'd have to look in my storage room, no idea if I kept that bad boy.
