While the technology is cool because it finally brings color to the idea of electronic paper (and brings me one step closer to my Global), it certainly doesn't make Plasmas obsolete as it will be years before we see anything practical come of it (if ever).

I would think likely 10 years to perfect. But it's an interesting technology. I didn't mean to alarm anyone, I was just joking of course.

I know. I'm just bitter about the technology. I've been promised electronic paper was 5 years out every year for the past 10 years. I want a Global already!

This particular solution is new, but the concept of digital paper has been bandied about for some time. I cheap, thin, flexible, foldable screen is something of a holy grail in the display world.
