All right, the Zzang candy bars are here. I won't try one until tomorrow evening, but at least now I know they're 3 ounces.

How about Junior Mints?! YUM!!! \:\)

Does anyone remember the Marathon Bar from the 70's? It was like braided caramel strips covered in chocolate. I loved that candy bar!

My current addiction is the Salted Nutroll. Can't beat the price either...2 for $1 at the grocery store right now.

Me too! Every two weeks I had to go to the allergist to get a shot. This was before it was common to give them at home. In the medical complex, there was a gift shop right across the hall from Dr. Bannister's office. For a long time, my ritual was to get a Marathon bar (for a quarter) after each shot. I think it was circa 1976 so I would have been 8 years old.

<Grampa Simpson> "We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to tell them stories that don't go anywhere. Like the time I took the fairy to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe so I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter you'd say. Now where were we, oh ya. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because if the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones." </Grampa Simpson>

I thought this was going to be a story about being allergic to something in the Marathon, but they were so good that you ate them anyway.
