I'm probably going to buy the Epic 80 as a new speaker setup. My receiver will either be the Denon 2802 or Outlaw 1050.
I'm wondering what the best speaker for the sixth channel would be. The QS8 would be ideal but can only be bought in pairs (especially since I plan on ordering my speakers in Maple). Room aesthetics (read: my wife's wishes) will likely restrict me to only one rear surround.
Should I hang another center channel as the rear surround(VP100 or VP150)? Is there a way to purchase single speakers in non-black finishes?
I'd love to hear people's experiences with what works best as a lone sixth channel, and which Axiom speaker is ideal.

Hi fhw,
You can get a singe QS-8 in maple if you wish. The price of one QS-8 is exactly half that of a pair.
I'm an enthusiast of quadpolar radiators in surround or rear-channel applications because of the seamless sense of envelopment they deliver without losing directional cues when called upon. Some HT enthusiasts do prefer monopolar speakers in the back channel, of course.
