Oil Tycoon T. Boone Pickens launced a new webiste today:

http://www.pickensplan.com

check it out.

On a side note...
I noticed a group called "republicans for Obama" joined to support his plan...
http://www.republicansforobama.org/

I also found a website called "democrats against obama"
http://democrats-against-obama.org/

hmmmm...

The word "bitter" comes to mind.

I guess I set this thread up for a derailment from the beginning with my "side note".

So in the interest of the topic and hopefully generating some discussion:

What does everyone think about this grand Wind energy approach that pickens mentions on his site?

I think it's a great idea. The potential to power the nation on a non-polluting, domestic and unlimited power supply is certainly one worth exploring.

BTW, NPR had an interview with Pickens today that was really interesting. Nice to hear an 'old oil man' looking to the future.

Interesting plan, its hard not to like a plan that reduces pollution and dependence on foreign oil sources.

I think even domestic oil companies can find a way to invest in wind farms and make a helluva profit in the long run...
