I wonder how often sponsors get their money's worth, and how they can measure that.

Darned if I know. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but Marlboro's even worse. They haven't been able to actually use their name on a car at all for the last half decade at least, and yet they still sponsor Ferrari, and up until this year, they sponsored Penske.

Has anyone else seen this?

Nope haven’t seen it but it’s now in my queue, thanks.

I’m still keeping up with “Caprica” and still see it as a mixed bag. I’ve found one way to like it more, every time Amanda Graystone appears on the screen I fast forward. Makes the show much more enjoyable for me so far.

Just finished the second season of “Babylon 5” last night. I’m averaging a disk a day which is roughly 4 episodes. I definitely like the first season better than the second. Although many of the story arcs become more engaging in the second season I liked the character interaction in the first season better. Way more negativity in the second season which if I remember correctly is continued in the third.

“Remember?” Well that’s got me a little worried. It was only about 3 years ago I watched seasons 1-3. However, I’m hardly remembering anything about most of the episodes. A few episodes I flat out don’t recall seeing, most I vaguely know what happened and very few I remember in any detail. I’m going to chalk it up to watching thousands of hours of programming since then so I can be in denial about the possibility of loosing cognitive ability. ;\) At least it’s making it fun to watch again.

I never thought I would feel the bass from a throwing star. It felt like it traveled right across the floor and into the couch. Pretty entertaining. Rain has pretty good presence onscreen. The story isn't all that special, and the over-bloodiness didn't add a whole lot for me, but yeah, I still found it fun to watch.

Glad you liked it. Someone put it on at work the other day and it was all I could do to ignore it. ;\)

So did you enjoy Ponyo? Are you embarrassed to say you did, and that's why you're waiting for other people to share their impressions first? Ha ha.

When posting about Ponyo in this thread I thought you would be the first to come back and say you have already seen it... seemed like your style of cartoon.

Yeah, I enjoyed it.. but it is not the type of thing I normally watch. The story was pretty interesting and I could appreciate the animation style. I think I gave it a 3 on my netflix rating though. I was glad I rented it but don't think I'd ever watch it again.

I'm through the first disc of Gunslinger Girl. I kind of like it, but the story needs to go somewhere more interesting before I can fully embrace it. Pre-teen girls who are given cybernetic implants and trained to be assassins isn't interesting enough for me, I guess.
