My wife and I watched August Rush last night and absolutely loved it. I just gave it 5 stars in Netflix, which I hardly ever do.

Definitely check it out. CAVEAT: There are no explosions.

That movie had some nice audio, but the story made me want to vomit. At least it gets strong reactions, right?

I really enjoyed the movie, I would give it more of a warm fuzzy feeling rather than an urge to vomit, I loved the music.

One of my online friends recommended it, no doubt partially because of Kaki King's involvement. She liked it a lot, one of my coworkers liked it a lot, and my parents liked it a lot. My opinion is overruled. Man, I really hated it, though. Ha ha.

It does require a rather large suspension of disbelief early on, but I was in the right mood, so it was easy for me. Also, I'm a parent. Might help. \:\)

Sleeping Beauty [Blu-ray]

It's been a long time since I've watched one of the classic animated Disney movies. It's nice to see it looking so pretty on the new format. The detail in the backgrounds is quite nice. While the story doesn't affect me like I'm sure it did when I was young, I still get a sense of its place in cinema, and it was good to be reminded.

As far as Disney on Blu-ray, I think the one I'd really like is The Lion King. I imagine the audio for that one would be a lot of fun. I guess I still don't really think of them as Disney, but Pixar should hurry up with The Incredibles. It's been a nice demo DVD, so let's get the Blu-ray already.

Yes, I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of the Pixar films on Blu-ray.

Is "Sleeping Beauty" the only classic Disney film on Blu-ray yet? I guess I could look it up. . .

Yeah, I think it's the first. I guess some people were disappointed that this was their choice for the first one.

Yeah, it should've been "Snow White" seeing as how that was their first feature length animated film. I'd buy it.
